Spring Virtual Faculty Show

Hawaiian Silver Spiral Cuttlefish Casting Necklace
CAG Faculty Show turned Digital

This year the artists association that I am a part of, the Creative Arts Group in Sierra Madre, has decided to display the works of it’s artists digitally on it’s website. You can check out my page here: Kimberly’s Jewelry in the Gallery.

They have put together a video where they sweep through all of the pieces in the gallery so you can peruse from your living room. That way you can drop by the gallery afterwards at your leisure to pick up the pieces that you liked. My jewelry is shown in the video at minute 3:51. Check out the video here.

Green Maw Sit Sit & Tsavorite Sterling Silver Pendant

Myanmarese or Burmese Maw Sit Sit and green Tsavorite cuttle bone necklace
What a rich color Green – this one practically made itself!

The Maw Sit Sit stone comes originally from Myanmar (formerly known as Burma). This particular stone caught my eye for its unusal shape and color striations. Sometimes, irregularly shaped gemstones are difficult to design around, but this one practically made itself!

To accentuate the unusual shape of this stone, I set it in a Sterling Silver bezel setting and topped the pendant with a 3.5 mm faceted round green Tsavorite stone. The angles in the Sterling Silver cuttlebone casting pull out the color variance in the Maw Sit Sit stone. The bail will easily accommodate any 3 mm chain, however this pricing includes a 18″ snake chain. Price: $260 (includes 18” snake chain)
